Lummi Island Wild has decided to concentrate on our core customer profile. Our many good customers include top end restaurants, coops, fish markets and home buyers, all whom wish to have a regular supply of seafood, desire premium quality at a reasonable price, and wish to support a fishery that is indeed “the model for sustainable harvesting”.
After a year of experimentation we have decided that shipping small orders is “not our business”. However, for over 5 years now we have shipped 30 lb. boxes of premium salmon to hundreds of satisfied customers all across the U.S. At this volume it makes economic and some environmental sense to box in a styro container and to fed-ex it at a reasonable rate.
We have many dedicated “buyers clubs” like the Kellog Foundation and Rochester Farm connection who are a gathering of multiple families that share bulk truck shipping costs for significant savings, with no styro usage required.
For our past customers who cannot utilize larger orders, we would like to encourage you to join with family and friends to share a box. If this is not possible we wish to direct you to established mail order businesses that often carry our products in smaller quantities, and indeed can ship them at lesser cost than us.
